my girls have fallen in love with their cotton candy confetti ice cream. Nice little family run shop with Shermans Ice cream and a small selection of candy also. The grill out hot dogs and what not on Saturdays but we just go for Ice cream!!! Wish they took credit cards as I have forgotten cash more than once in my suit after changing from work.

Delicious ice cream! And you don't need more than a single scoop. The girls working were super helpful and even let us have a couple samples to help us make up our minds :)

Came here after dinner from the Mexican restaurant across the street. Very cute little shop! There were plenty of different flavors to choose from. The two girls behind the counter were complete dolls and very friendly and knowledgeable. My friend just moved into an apartment down the street, so I know we will definitely be back here in the summer.

I GOT PROPOSED HERE! Not just because of that, but I love this little mom and pop ice cream shop. They have fresh flavors and frozen yogurt too (not the synthetic kinds you get at the self serve places). I love their chocolate vanilla frozen yogurt, which I get each time I'm there. Our daughter loves it too. Located in a nice quiet downtown area, this is a gem of a place. They're a minimalist, which is one of the main reasons I like it. No fanfare. Servers are very friendly and they've always had a smiling face whenever I've been there.

Small little ice cream shop I visited in January of 2012. I got 2 pints to go; nothing I really remember. I can't really say anything postive or negative, but it was just ehh. If I'm in the area again, I'll have to give them another try. GO ICE CREAM!

Great little ice cream shop, especially for kids! Love the fun names of the flavors, and the step for small kids to stand on to see the different ice creams. The toppings in big glass jars is a nice colorful touch!

(Quick tip: Delicioso) This little ice cream/candy parlor in downtown Clarendon Hills has always offered friendly service and a good selection of ice creams in my visits there over the years. They may not have 31 flavors, but they have a great little shop. They offer all kinds of cones, plus they now have fruit smoothies as well as cookout food (hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.) on Saturady afternoons. Great place to stop at if you're in the area!

Our favorite ice cream place in downtown Clarendon Hills. My kids love to go there for ice cream when waiting to pick up daddy from the train. Our favorite are the chocolate peanut butter and anything blue! The staff very friendly, owner an very nice guy!

Its an ice cream place that also serves hot dogs and burgers, plus sells candy from big glass jars. Got myself a pint of chocolate chip cookie dough and a flavor that was similar to moose tracks. My preference is more on gelato but the ice cream was very good. Cheap too, as pints were $5 and quarts $10. Service really stood out as the owner seemed like a genuinely nice guy! Open parking spots might be limited, depending on when you go. And as with most downtown areas, pulling out of your spot was tricky as it seemed like cars would come from no where and the parked cars next to you would block your view.

Love it! I have lived in Clarendon Hills since October and see this place all the time but only recently went for some ice cream. They have a nice selection of ice creams and candies to choose from as well. It was a hot day and I was in the mood for a scoop of ice cream. What I was handed over was not a scoop...IT WAS HUGE! It was like 2 scoops for the price of one. I was very impressed, especially for the price! I have been back several times since, especially since it's only two blocks from me, and Snow Dog Tracks is my favorite ice cream. Not only was I impressed by the size of the helping for the price, but the staff is always so friendly! They always have a warm, welcoming smile on their face. It's always great to walk into a place and be treated so nicely every time. That's rare to find. Definitely recommend this place when you're in the mood for a sweet treat!

I'm not a parent, but I had experience playing one the other day. Left to the mercy of my cousin's three girls, I asked "what do you want to do for lunch?"... the answer, quite enthusiatically, "CAN WE GO TO THE DAILY SCOOP?". Being quite unsuburban, I ask "Um... what's that and how to do we get there?" I have a slight hatred of driving, coupled with a fear of driving their rather large SUV laden down with child seats. "Oh, it's near our school, we know EXACTLY how to get there, it's hot dogs and ice cream!" Sure, I like hot dogs, I like ice cream. I have three girls under the age of 8 in front of me excited about this place, it's inhumane if I DON'T take them. Right? That's what us babysitter types do, we borrow kids for a bit, spoil them, and trek back to our quiet highrises.... After precariously bundling and loading the precious cargo into the car (thankfully, with a nav system), we arrive. Firstly, what a cute area? Is this downtown Clarendon Hills? It's quaint and... charming, and well, it remind me of a vacation town. Anyways, we walk in and to my surprise... they have 2 things on the menu... hot dogs and ice cream. I suppose I should have believed the girls, but usually one can get a burger, right? That's ok, I like hot dogs, and so do these girls. I applaud them on the authenticity of the Chicago dog, and the snob in my appreciates the slight grimace when the girls asked for "mustard AND ketchup". Service was fast, and friendly, and they took all the time in the world when them when it came time to order ice cream. I can see how this place is a total hit with kids and families.

yes. this place could easily be the jem of downtown clarendon hills. i can't remember the name of the flavour i always get (malted milkball or something) but it is so good. it's so 50s. the own is SO nice. next time you get a hankering for ice cream, give this place a run for your money. you will love it.

Ok, I'm not a huge fan of having food at the Daily Scoop, besides, everyone knows the ice cream is great! Having a fresh brat from the grill (that you did not have to cook yourself) is part of summer time fun. Having fresh tomatoes, onions and relish is a great perk - nice job!!
